Is XPS resistant to mold and pests?

XPS is inorganic and does not provide a food source for mold. However, mold can grow on its surface if organic material (like dirt) is present and conditions are right. It is not a food source for insects or rodents, but pests can tunnel through it if they are seeking a path or nesting space. Proper detailing and integrated pest management are recommended.
