Our Rock Wool Composite Panels Built for Modern Cruise Cabins

Hey there! Remember those massive new luxury cruise ships? Well, we were super proud to be part of that project, specifically fitting out hundreds of passenger cabins and crew areas.

You know how it is on ships – space is tight, safety is everything (seriously, everything), and nobody wants to hear their neighbours… or the engine… while trying to sleep or relax in their cabin. They needed a wall and ceiling solution that could handle all that, plus look great and go up quickly.

We supplied and installed our high-performance rock wool composite panels throughout the interior cabins. Think of these like super-smart, multi-tasking panels:

  1. Safety First (Like, Really First): Fire on a ship? No! Our panels are A60 fire-rated – that’s the top-tier marine standard. They give crucial extra time for evacuation and compartmentalization, which is pretty much non-negotiable at sea.
  2. Peace & Quiet Achieved: Rock wool is a natural sound absorber. These panels dramatically cut down noise between cabins and from machinery spaces. Passengers get proper rest, crew can focus – everyone’s happier. No more hearing every sneeze next door!
  3. Lightweight Champ: Every kilo counts on a floating hotel. Our composite panels are significantly lighter than traditional solid bulkhead builds. That means fuel savings and better stability for the ship itself – a win for the operator’s bottom line and the environment.
  4. Looks Sharp & Stays Clean: We delivered a smooth, durable finish ready for the final decorative touches (paint, veneer, you name it). They’re also resistant to moisture and treated to inhibit mold and mildew – essential in the humid marine environment.
  5. Goes Up Fast: The panels come as large, pre-finished sheets. This meant the shipyard could install them way faster than building traditional walls and ceilings on-site, keeping that tight construction schedule on track.

The shipyard loved the install speed, the cruise line loves the safety and guest comfort, and the passengers just enjoy a better, quieter stay.

If you’re building or refurbishing cabins, crew quarters, or any interior spaces on ships (yachts, ferries, offshore units – you name it) where fire safety, noise control, weight, and a quality finish matter (so, basically everywhere!), our rock wool composite panels are a proven, smart solution. We’ve done it successfully on the high seas!
