Proper handling prevents damage and preserves performance.
- For XPS Boards:
- Store Flat & Supported: Store on a flat, level surface. Do not lean vertically for long periods to prevent warping. Support full bundles evenly to avoid bending.
- Protect from Sunlight: Prolonged UV exposure degrades the surface. Cover stacks with opaque tarps if stored outdoors.
- Keep Dry: Although moisture-resistant, store in a dry area to keep them clean and workable.
- Avoid Solvents: Keep away from gasoline, adhesives, and solvents that can dissolve the foam.
- For FRP Panels:
- Store on Edge: Store vertically, leaning against a sturdy support at a slight angle. Use protective separators between panels.
- Protect Edges & Faces: Handle with care to avoid chipping the gel coat edges. Use gloves to prevent surface contamination from oils.
- Avoid Point Loads: Do not stack heavy items on top of horizontal panels.
