Rock Wool Sandwich Panels consist of three layers: the top and bottom layers are dyed galvanized or aluminum corrugated plates, while the core material is high-density rock wool (basalt vertical filament rock wool). Thanks to their excellent fireproof performance, these panels are widely used for external walls and internal partition walls, installed either vertically or horizontally on single- or multi-span structures.
The core is made of basalt vertical filament rock wool, which provides exceptional fire resistance, making these panels ideal for applications requiring high fire safety standards. Additionally, rock wool is one of the most effective acoustic materials in construction. For example, a 50 mm thick rock wool sandwich panel can achieve sound absorption of over 30 dB/m².

These panels are commonly used in steel structure factory buildings, modular rooms, roofs, walls, cleanroom ceilings, and partitions.
Rock Wool Core Material Specifications:
- Density: 120 kg/m³
- Rock wool blocks are laid in a staggered pattern, with fibers oriented perpendicular to the panel surfaces, ensuring tight bonding across the entire vertical and horizontal plane.
- The rock wool blocks are securely bonded to the upper and lower metal plates through high-intensity adhesive, forming an integrated structure.
The advanced manufacturing process ensures strong adhesion between the high-density rock wool insulation and the inner metal plates, giving the sandwich panel superior rigidity.

Advantages of Pu Rock Wool Sandwich Panel
- Excellent Fire Resistance – The rock wool core provides outstanding fireproof performance, meeting stringent safety standards and enhancing onboard fire protection.
- Superior Thermal Insulation – Effectively reduces heat transfer, improving energy efficiency and maintaining stable indoor temperatures in marine environments.
- High Sound Absorption – The dense rock wool structure significantly dampens noise, ensuring a quieter and more comfortable cabin space.
- Lightweight & Durable – The composite design offers a strong yet lightweight solution, reducing vessel weight while maintaining structural integrity.
- Corrosion & Moisture Resistance – Treated with protective layers, the panel resists humidity, salt spray, and corrosion, ideal for harsh marine conditions.
- Easy Installation & Maintenance – Prefabricated for quick assembly, saving time and labor costs during ship construction or renovation.
- Eco-Friendly Material – Made from non-toxic, recyclable components, aligning with sustainable shipping practices.
