PET foam is user-friendly. It can be cut with standard woodworking tools like saws, routers, and hot-wire cutters. It is flexible enough to conform to slight curvatures. For insulation applications, it is fastened similarly to other rigid boards using mechanical fasteners (plastic cap nails) and adhesives compatible with polyester. In composite panel manufacturing, it is laminated with fiberglass and resin using vacuum infusion or adhesive bonding. Its light weight reduces handling effort and structural support needs.
